We believe in the magic of a tiny little dancer who puts on their first pair of dance shoes or poofy pink tutu just as we believe in the magic of a dancer who flies through the air leaping across the floor. We believe that dance should be fun, fanciful, happy, and magical. We believe that every child can and should dance. We believe in building strength and confidence through dance and fostering a LOVE for the art of dance.

There are so many reasons we think HMD is a great place to dance. Here are a few:
Our studio is a certified safer studio, which means we have undergone and continue to undergo health and safety trainings, have made curricular adjustments and have created a Covid-19 best practices and action plan that has been approved by the health department. We are also YPAD certified which means that all of our staff members have completed training regarding safe dance practices in regards to social, emotional, and physical wellness. Our teachers are all First Aid/CPR certified and background checked.

Hearts in Motion was created in 2010 with one simple goal in mind: to create a dance studio that offers the opportunity for all students to enjoy dance.
We started by offering drop-in classes on Saturdays, testing out to see whether or not they would be well received. It started out slow but by December of 2010 there was a pretty regular group of dance class attendees and we were asked to perform at a Christmas Party hosted by Amway. Our performance of the Grinch was a big hit! From then on the program began to grow at a pretty exciting rate. We offered our first annual recital in Spring of 2011 with 30 participants.
After that, we hit more and more exciting milestones. Drop-ins began to grow, we began offering short mini-sessions during the week, sold out a recital at Wealthy Theatre and finally, outgrew our temporary location and were able to acquire our own!
Summer of 2015 we moved to a much larger facility on Plainfield where we were able to expand studio to offer three dance rooms with professionally sprung dance floors, presenting more opportunities for our students to grow. We have been able to hire a wonderful and professional staff, create an award winning competition team, perform throughout the community, travel to Disney World to perform, and most recently, open a satellite location for students ages 10 and under in downtown Ada (complete with an adorable boutique shop)!
We continue to do all of these things while still focusing on our dancers and families, making our studio a family friendly community for everyone!
